Common Questions
KPMG TaxWatch Events - Common Questions
Are there any recommended guidelines for watching a live Webcast event?
1. Test your computer system and network connection at least one day in advance of the live
Webcast to determine that you can view a Webcast.
2. Join the Webcast early by arriving online at least 10 to 15 minutes prior to the live event
start time to determine the automatic computer system setup has been properly established.
3. Disable any pop-up blocker software you may have installed on your computer as the Webcast
will need to open in a separate window and the event's polling questions will need to pop-up on
your computer screen. The Google® or Yahoo® toolbar often contains a "pop-up window
blocker" feature.
4. Click the "Watch Live Webcast" button to launch the Webcast and determine that you are seeing a
count-down clock and hearing music. This button will appear on the site about 30 minutes in
advance of the event's start time. We recommend listening to the audio with headphones from
your computer to minimize any ambient noise distractions.
5. Replays are available for most live events. Even if you have pre-registered and later find that you
are unable to join the live event, an archived version of the event is available for replay. A link
to the archived event will be made available to registrants within days following the live event.
How do I register for a Webcast event?
- To register for an event, simply to go the KPMGTaxWatch.com Homepage or Events page and click on "Calendar." Select the event you are interested in attending and you will be directed to its registration page. Once you have submitted your completed registration, you will receive an automatic confirmation email with an access link for this event.
Is there a deadline for event registration?
- Pre-registration for a Webcast event is always best. If early registration is not possible, same-day registrations are accepted but we recommend registering no later than 30 minutes prior to any Webcast event. For same day registrations, a confirmation e-mail will be sent containing the link and log-in instructions needed to access the Webcast.
When does same-day event registration close?
- Same-day registration closes only after the live Webcast has been aired. The event may then be viewed from our archives page where it remains available for replay for up to six months after the actual live event.
After I register for a Webcast, when will I receive the details necessary to
access it?
- Upon registering, you will immediately be sent an automatic confirmation e-mail with the access link and additional participation details may follow. We will also send a reminder notice shortly before the event.
